This book has purpose of understanding of Tan'gun's tomb. Tan'gun's tomb was first known to us from Augmented survey of the geography of the Eastern Kingdom, Tongguk-yŏjisŭngnam(東國輿地勝覽), in Kangdonghyŏn(江東縣) 'Kojŏk' in early Chosŏn(朝鮮) period. The name of this tomb as tradition is used two - Tan'gunmyo and Tan’gunnŭng. Tan'gunmyo was used until Chosŏn(朝鮮) period and as establishing the Great Han Empire, people started to suggest being respected like Kijarŭng(箕子陵) and Tongmyŏngwangnŭng(東明王陵). In the end, it started to be called Tan’gunnŭng in 1909.
