This book contains 12 writings searching ideological meaning and aesthetics targeting narrative literature resources. First chapter's target is P'ansori. P'ansori literature keeps tradition and features of narrative literature. For this reason, it can be a shortcut to explain nature of Korean narrative literature. Second and third chapter review the achievement of combining narrative literature with Buddhism and Confucianism. These two religious ideologies were significant mechanisms awakening narrative imagination of our literature. Fourth chapter is complementary, contains review of Chinese History of the Three Kingdoms(三國志) from Kim Man-chung and discussion A Tiger's Rebuke, Hojil(虎叱) from Pak Chi-wŏn.
