The author found considerable misreading and misinterpretation while reviewing existing studying and materials. For this reason, the author tried to approach this study focusing on interpreting positively the materials. Also, he emphasizes that people movements of premodern society like Tonghak nongmin undong(東學農民運動) could be led by religion. It means that Tonghak was core of political and social movements in the late 19th century.
